I love Weatherbug. Their reports are accurate, I can check if there are any warnings about upcoming weather events, and so much more. I love this app because when I want to take a nice walk, I’ll look at WeatherBug to see if the weather is good. Their alerts for things like thunderstorms, snow, and other natural disasters helps me prepare before they begin. There are so many different features provided, from warnings to closest lightning strike. Also, I like the different videos they post showing different weather phenomenons, as well as the many articles. I’d say Weatherbug is for sure 100% the best weather app! All the different features blow the competition out of the water!

I live thirty miles from Asheville which is where the WB forecast comes from. It might as well be from a different planet! Right now forecast says is fair with zero wind, in actuality it is pelting rain with 14 MPH winds. Why do they have to use a weather station so far removed from my vicinity!

Cluttery, add filled to the point I’m just deleting it.

The radar works most of the time but not always. Gulf of America needs updating. The ads are spammy, nothing that the average human being could ever find useful. Why not present actual advertisements for weather-related items instead of click-bait?

I have this on 2 different phones. Both iPhones, both up to date, both running the same version of the app. But they show different information on the maps. Not even close. One area has a tornado watch but the map doesn’t show it. Their triangled messages do So it’s conflicting info. How can the same app, same version have different information??

I can see the radar when it’s sunny but when it’s raining, I can only get to a map of total forecasted precipitation, which isn’t useful to me at all.

I actually think this app provides a 10/10 service, but the app pauses your music while you’re using it. Probably something to do with the ads, but it’s really annoying.

Is there any specific reason the map doesn’t reflect the recent change to the name of the Gulf of America? I’d like to be current in the map please.

Purchased the ad-free version, but started getting advertisements. Now it’s a monthly subscription. I don’t like being conned like that.

Seldom free version anymore as so many ads can’t find what I wast.

So if I leave the app in one of the tabs, it locks up every single time the next time I open it up

Are used to hit you with a fresh batch of adverts. If you notify spam me so much I ignore your notifications, there’s no need for me to have notifications enabled.

Why is the pollen not available? That’s one of the reasons I downloaded this app. I’m a beekeeper and want to see what pollen is available. Ever since I downloaded this app, the pollen part is not available.

This is probably the best weather app overall. It's fast, doesn't get bombarded with ads, and is pretty customizable. But no matter how many times I tell it not to send me notifications about anything other than actual weather alerts, I still get "tornado tips" or "blizzard in the northeast" news I don't need, don't want, and have turned off in the alerts. I finally turned notifications off completely. If they still come through, I'll be forced to delete the app entirely.

Used to be great - now the radar is uselessly wrong all the time and more recently, the pollen levels refuse to load. About ready to delete and will if the lightning strike map stops working correctly too. Please fix!

I use this app as a marching band educator for lightening safety during Arizona monsoons. The app immediately tells where storm systems are headed and how close the lightening is. The only thing it doesn’t have is time of sunrise and sunset. If it had these times included, I could delete the apple weather app and use only this. I like to know when sunrise and sunset are so that I can plan what time I’m going to walk my dog - within the first hour of sun in the morning, and 30 minutes before sunset in the evening. It’s too hot to walk the dog any other times of day. Please consider adding sunrise/sunset times and I will happily change my review to 5 stars!

I use the app but it’s only really good for the temp and anything happening at that moment but 10 day forecast changes every few minutes so doesn’t help much for making plans

Fix the pollen count it’s not working

Why is the Pollen not available anymore? This is a very important issue for me.

Temps on this app do match each other. On the now page it shows 41 degrees. On the hourly page it shows 52 degrees. So which is it? Clearly the app does not know.

Pollen info has disappeared since update.

Entire site is “ad loaded first” meaning wait until all the cookies are running before any weather data populates. Map sometimes takes several minutes to fully load and activate.

App widget on my iphone 15 max shows 75 degrees and sunny regardless of weather outside. It's just stuck. Been like this for weeks. You have to open app to get the real temp. App has been updated and has all access. Not sure

Love the data and the layout, but when will the Development team get back to work? I emailed them a year ago asking about syncing between devices and was told they were “working on it but don’t know when it will work…” Now the new iPhones have been out for a couple of years and still no Live Activities option for WeatherBug and while it does offer widgets- they are rudimentary and not anywhere near as customizable as the competition. Lots of potential is being wasted.

Not very accurate when it comes to temperature. If you even look at their daily summary and then compare it to their hourly forecast they don’t agree.

BP affects my health and there’s no way to see it long term via this app. You have to look at every hour to get anything. Not helpful. Also the new pop up I just got about planting a tree with subscribing to ad free seems like a weak ploy.

I do like the app, but when there is going to be like an hour of rain, why don’t show a picture of rain all day? Example, going to Jamaica this coming week- it’s shows a wall of rain. But we know it’s not the doom and gloom shown in the picture. You need to clean the app up. Otherwise, good app.

Can we get a Mosquito index in the app? Mosquito activity is related to weather conditions. And I bet some people would love a mosquito index in the app. OFF may decide to help if you want. Also a firefly index for the firefly months would be cool.

So the weather is good for the most part but I’m disappointed to see that the name of the app has nothing to do with the app. How come it has bug in the name??? What does a bug have to do with weather?? It’s really tripping me off and I’m sad to say the app is losing 2 stars of the review from the name 😞😞 I hope you change this and if you do I will leave a new review ❤️

I love this app and it’s very accurate and better than a lot of weathers app I tried before , just one thing or maybe I missed something, when I open the app on my phone and go section (now) if it rain or cloudy or sunny it doesn’t show me the status of the weather. Please fix that and thank you so much, otherwise it wonderful app.

Had this app for years now and its always been pretty fair with its data. Lately, real-time updates have been SLOW, some features like “alerts” tracking over time have gone away, and now I’m watching storms on The Weather Channel with severe weather across the SE US. The app shows a line of storms packed with several tornado warnings. The Weather Channel, not a single tornado warning in the same area. If this app isn’t going to give real-time, ACCURATE information, then whats the point. Deleting this app and moving on

So the app seems to be working well except I cannot see the Sun & Moon feature at the bottom of the screen (using an IPhone). I should be able to continue to scroll to the bottom of the page effortlessly but it stops short. I have to force-scroll it down and then I can see it, but I then have to press hard on my Iphone screen so it stays up on my screen. Can your team troubleshoot this? Thanks!

It works, and works better than most other weather apps. Been a user for many years. Way better than the native iPhone app. The only thing I would ask if for the ability to have more control of the cards and the information contained therein. Prime example is Weather cams. I don’t need Weather cams not specific to my area. Same with videos. Enabling the app to be location specific would greatly enhance the usability of the app.

This app is the last to accept the change to Gulf Of America.. this looks like politics

Was happy with this for a while but last several months use others. Doesn’t show accurate precipitation/day, just “chance of Rain” when already raining. Maps very slow. Clunky to swipe between cities.

One president cannot unilaterally change the name of a body of water that has been so named for over 400 years and is internationally recognized as such. Don’t change it for one president’s vanity executive order.

WeatherBug meteorologists: please try to keep up with the culture and its changes. It’s the Gulf of America now.

Hey, so I love the weather app but the problem is when you do it on the I watch. It’s a real pain in the watch literally like when you try to sync it like downloading it’s fine but it’s like when you try to like put your location like in for the sink up and whatever once it’s downloaded that’s a pain in the butt. So they gotta work on that but otherwise I love the app. I hope they keep updating it as much as they can the sooner the better with new features and stuff too especially for severe weather and especially for like winter time like it should show how many inches of snow we’re actually gonna get like a map of it And as far as the weather as far as super weather, they should have like a 12345 is the highest and like one is like like thunderstorms or something something like that anyway message me back thanks

I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the closest weather station this app uses is over 9 miles away at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Not functional at all, my home and the city of Santa Cruz have wildly different weather and temperatures. Too bad, I like the UI but the app just doesn't provide accurate weather.

By far Weather Bug is my favorite app! I check it several times a day for the current weather! 😃 I used to have the Widget too, which was highly convenient, until the widget stopped working properly in February 2025. I deleted it off my Home Screen then tried to replace it, but alas it was a square black box with no information 😢 I’m hoping with this latest update that was fixed. I’ll try to replace it again in a few minutes. If it works I’ll be so happy then update this review with 5 stars!! Update: Hooray!!! The WeatherBug Widget is working perfectly again! 5 Stars! Thank You❤️

I’ve tried a few other Weather apps and the WeatherBug app is my favorite by good measure. It has a great interface, is free with ads, has weather stations all around me (metro Seattle), gives you all the weather data a casual user needs in a clear, concise manner. It’s gotten a high rating for good reason.

Web developers notified me today the 1hr future radar is back!!! MY FAVORITE APP!!! Huge bummer they removed the future radar. Used to be my favorite weather app. Hopefully they’ll bring it back, if not, I’ll delete

Weather bug is not dependable. WeatherBug will show 0% rain or snow. Very next morning the local channel will show 70% chance of rain or snow. I am deleting this app.

You used to be my favorite weather app but since you’ve changed the Map to the five or six different items, with grids on map and dark colors it’s horrible. Can’t even read the legend to see what color means what. Preferred the simpler. Green means rain, pink means ice, white snow. I can’t tell what’s going on where or what’s coming to me. Please go back to the old way.

So much for accurate weather forecasting. Idiot in the White House fired too many people at NOAA. So my forecast says we're expecting a blizzard. It's nearly 60° and drizzling. Don't think that sounds quite right.
